About Blood Pressure

Blood pressure is the force of blood that pushes against the artery walls. It’s measured with systolic (top) number and dystolic (bottom) number in mm HG. Systolic is the pressure when your heart beats/contracts while diastolic is the pressure when your heart relaxes, between beats.

A high blood pressure also known as hypertension increases the risk of health problems such as heart attack, heart failure, kidney failure, vision loss, stroke, dementia, and more.

How To Determine Your Blood Pressure

Option 1: Go to a doctor’s office or certain medical facilities or pharmacies. They have a blood pressure check machine. It will guide you on how to check it.

Option 2: Purchase an at home blood pressure monitor. Check it that way.

How To Classify Your Blood Pressure
