BLOOD PRESSURE

Blood pressure is the force of blood that pushes against the artery walls. It’s measured with systolic (top) number and dystolic (bottom) number in mm HG. Systolic is the pressure when your heart beats/contracts while diastolic is the pressure when your heart relaxes, between beats.

A high blood pressure also known as hypertension increases the risk of health problems such as heart attack, heart failure, kidney failure, vision loss, stroke, dementia, and more.

Option 1: Go to a doctor’s office or certain medical facilities. You can check your blood pressure at some of these places. They have a blood pressure check machine. It will guide you on how to measure it.

Option 2: Purchase a home blood pressure monitor at stores or online. Check it that way.
