Injury Recovery Program / Active Rehabilitation Program helps you rehabilitate your injuries. The program names are different, but both programs are similar. The goals are the same:

  • Heal your injuries
  • Reduce or eliminate pain
  • Restore function
  • Correct muscle imbalances

Then, return to activities of daily living and work.

WHO

We work with anyone with an injury from the general public and patients injured in a car accident where an ICBC claim is open. We are an approved health care provider with ICBC and part of their recovery network. You may qualify for active rehabilitation kinesiology treatments covered by ICBC. Contact them or us to find out. There are deadlines to receive possible treatments.

TREATMENT MODALITIES

The treatment modalities we use to heal your injury varies for each person but generally it involves any of the following depending on what’s right for you:

  • Strength training
  • Cardiovascular training
  • Flexibility exercises/range of motion exercises/stretches
  • Soft tissue release (manual therapy, massage, active release, and passive release)

HOW LONG TO HEAL

Depending on the severity of the injury and how long you’ve had it will often reflect the healing time. If it is a serious chronic injury, it will take longer to rehabilitate. Whereas a minor acute injury will heal faster.

  2. Mobile (your place). ICBC must first approve a travel fee for us to come to you to get this option. ICBC only approves this when it’s very difficult for the patient to come to our gym.

WHY TAKE ACTION NOW

A common mistake is waiting too long to do something about the injuries. This delays delays healing and allows the body to become set in ways that do not heal well. You do not want to be stuck with an injury for years when it can be healed in months just by working on it sooner.
